Partnering with HR Business Partners and the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Strategic Workforce Analyst is responsible for making operational data available for building comprehensive forecasts to optimize staffing resources to achieve positive experiences and business objectives. Key functional responsibilities include the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of how planning/forecasting staffing requirements translate to the creation and communication of optimal proactive hiring plans. This position is key to developing comprehensive workforce reporting, analytics, visualizations, predictive models and automation, as well as finding and communicating possible process improvements via research and data discovery.

● Collaborates with HR Business Partners and the Director of Talent Acquisition to gather data requirements, determine tools needed to accomplish desired outcomes and define processes and metrics focused on building bench strength to meet current and future business needs.
● Interpret, analyze, and make recommendations to improve the workforce in order to increase member satisfaction and experience.
● Optimizes and assists with analyzing data related to operational work drivers, turnover, employee demographics, recruiting or staffing to forecast hiring and other workforce planning needs.
● Partners with leaders to conduct workforce planning analysis to determine what gaps exist between the current and projected workforce needs in the short-term and long-term in order to develop mitigation strategies.
● Works with leaders to identify and manage change around current and future workforce requirements in terms of headcount and skills.
● Prepares and presents reports and analyses detailing workforce trends and projections for Executive, HR, and Business Leaders.
● Creates and manages project plans to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
● Stays current on industry practices and issues related to workforce planning, assessing and communicating their potential impact on the business.
● Prepares and creates ad hoc reporting as needed.
● Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience
Five or more years working in HR, Organizational Administration, Workforce Forecasting, Analysis and/or Data Systems.
Banking/Finance experience preferred.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data, Organizational Management/Psychology, or a related field; OR five or more years of progressive experience in a data analytics or workforce planning environment. Degree must be from an accredited institution and education will be verified.


Computer/Office Equipment Skills

• Experience with HR and Workforce data capture/reporting systems and structures, Workday Workforce ERP experience preferred.

• Experience using SQL query techniques to access SQL server or other relational databases preferred.
• Data reporting and visualization competencies.
• Advanced level skill for Excel.
• Knowledge in visualization and reporting software such as Tableau or Power BI preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to compile, clean and assess data and create robust forecasting analyses for the organization.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with strong organizing and time management skills and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and timelines
• Adaptive to change, responds positively to altered circumstances or conditions
• Possess a desire and willingness to learn and continually update knowledge base on IT concepts, strategies, systems etc.
• Take initiative to be a problem solver and provide suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies.
