Description

Responsible for assisting commercial loan officers with all activities associates with commercial lending, including working directly with borrowers and/or brokers to deliver a seamless and prompt commercial loan experience. Activities include collecting, reviewing, evaluating, structuring, and originating CRE loan requests and all supporting documentation. This support will allow our commercial loan officers to focus on originating more loans into the pipeline.

SCHEDULE

Full Time

  • Assists commercial loan officers in processing commercial loan applications.
  • Prepares loan requests for formal underwriting by gathering financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Processes and reviews documents received for each file, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document.
  • May input loan application data into loan origination system (does not take applications, quote rates or sell products).
  • Performs pre-flight analysis to determine eligibility and basic underwriting to determine credit-worthiness.
  • Actively reaches out to inform the borrower regarding loan statuses loans and documents all communication.
  • Communicates with members regarding the lending product and general loan-related questions.
  • Handles all member and in-house inquiries about transactions to ensure members receive superior service.
  • Reviews loans in the pipeline and works with the processing team to ensure that settlement dates are met.
  • May assist in ordering credit reports, business entity searches, title insurance, appraisals, evaluations, environmental reports and other third party reports.
  • Gathers information for HMDA reporting.
  • Prepares loan renewal, extension and modification requests.
  • Assists members with online account opening, as needed.
  • Assists in other tasks and projects as assigned.

Experience

  • Requires minimum 2 years’ professional experience in a progressive financial setting.
  • Experience in a loan processing setting preferred.

Education

Associate's degree from an accredited institution in business, marketing, finance, economics or related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required Education will be verified. OR additional 1 year of relevant experience in a progressive financial setting.

Computer/Office Equipment Skills

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience with loan origination system preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations
  • Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.

  • Data analytics and data validation skills and proficiency in business data analysis (MS Excel, etc.)
